The bet choices are usually classified under inside and outside bets.  Roulette rules indicate that a player can make a bet which adds up to the board minimum.  What this means is that, if you happen to play at to table with $6 minimum, you can bet on 6 numbers at $1 bet each or combinations provided the total meets the minimum required.
